Doh: A Women’s Collective

1. Purpose of This Policy

Doh: A Women’s Collective welcomes submissions from community members, supporters, and partners that align with our mission to support and empower women. This Submissions Policy explains the terms under which written content, images, videos, or other materials (“Submissions”) may be submitted for possible inclusion on our website or related platforms.

Submission of content does not guarantee publication.

2. Eligibility to Submit

By submitting content, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent

  • You have the legal right to submit the content

  • The content is original or you have permission to share it

3. Types of Acceptable Submissions

We may accept:

  • Personal stories or testimonials

  • Blog posts or opinion pieces

  • Educational or informational articles

  • Artwork, photography, or creative works

  • Event-related content

All submissions must align with our mission and values.

4. Content Guidelines

Submissions must not:

  • Include hateful, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language

  • Promote violence, harassment, or illegal activity

  • Contain explicit sexual content

  • Violate privacy rights or confidentiality

  • Infringe on copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights

  • Include false, misleading, or defamatory statements

We reserve the right to reject, edit, revise or remove any content at our discretion.

5. Editorial Rights

Doh: A Women’s Collective reserves the right to:

  • Review, edit, shorten, or format submissions for clarity, length, and style

  • Decline to publish submissions for any reason

  • Remove previously published content at any time

Edits will not materially alter the meaning of the submission without consent, when feasible.

6. License Grant

By submitting content, you grant Doh: A Women’s Collective a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and distribute the submission in connection with our mission, including on our website, mobile applications, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.

You retain ownership of your original content.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Do not submit content that includes personal information about yourself or others that you do not wish to be made public.

  • If your submission includes identifying information about another individual, you must have their explicit permission.

  • Submissions may be publicly accessible once published.

8. Sensitive Content and Safety

If submissions involve personal experiences with trauma, abuse, or sensitive issues:

  • Publication decisions will prioritize safety and dignity

  • Identifying details may be removed or anonymized

  • We may decline to publish content if we believe publication could cause harm

9. No Compensation

Submissions are voluntary. Contributors will not receive compensation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Views expressed in submissions are those of the contributor and do not necessarily reflect the views of Doh: A Women’s Collective.

11. Governing Law

This Submissions Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.
